HIGH RIDGE, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A race car that was stolen from a Dobbs in Jefferson County was found in South City, the company said.

On Oct. 22, a suspect broke into the parking lot at the corporate office of Dobbs Tire and Auto in High Ridge, Missouri. The parking lot was secure, Steve Granna of Dobbs said.

The suspects involved stole a truck that was in the parking lot and used it to haul away a trailer possessing the Dobbs racing car.

Granna said the car is fully functional, however, it is used for promotional use only.

At this time, the value of the car is not known. Dobbs also said the suspects stole parts off a vehicle that was in a parking lot.

According to surveillance photos, there were three suspects in total. The first suspect broke into the parking lot, and two others appeared and assisted in stealing the parts, trailer, and truck.

Dobbs said the trailer, truck and race car were found near the intersection of Grand and Utah in south St. Louis.

The company said all three have minor damage, but nothing that can't be repaired.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating.
