ST. LOUIS, Mo. (HockeySTL) -

The Blues announced Monday they have recalled forward Beau Bennett from the Chicago Wolves (AHL). Bennett, a former first-round pick of a the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2010, signed with the Blues as a free agent in July after appearing in 65 regular season games for the New Jersey Devils last year.

The owner of 16 career NHL goals across five seasons, Bennett scored half that amount with the Devils last year. Though he had signed a one-year deal with St. Louis, the Blues demoted him to the minors out of camp.

This move comes after a pair of transactions Sunday—the demotion of Ivan Barbashev to Chicago, and Samuel Blais to San Antonio. Bennett could be joined by one more addition to the roster in time for Wednesday’s game at Scottrade Center against the Calgary Flames.
