SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A woman was critically injured during a shooting at a vigil for a homicide victim Thursday night.

The 21-year-old woman was shot just before 9 p.m. while she was in the area of South Grand and Alberta attending a vigil for a 28-year-old man who was shot and killed at a nearby Shell Gas Station the night before.

The woman was not conscious or breathing when she was taken to the hospital, where she was later listed in critical, unstable condition. Homicide investigators were called to the scene.

Other details were not immediately known.
