Police search for person of interest in homicide, considered 'armed and dangerous'

Police are currently searching for a person of interest they say is connected to the homicide of a 54 year-old man. 

The person of interest was identified as Donte Sproling, 28, of Ferguson, Missouri. The St. Louis County Police Department's Bureau of Crimes Against Persons is asking for the public's assistance in locating Sproling, who police said should be considered armed and dangerous. 

Police said Sproling is a person of interest in a homicide that occurred on Oct. 6. 

Northwoods Police officers responded to the 6900 block of Forest Hill Drive around 11:00 p.m. on that date. Responding officers found the deceased body of 54 year-old Stanley Taylor. Officers said Taylor's body was found with multiple gunshot wounds. 

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on October 6, 2017, Northwoods Police Department requested the assistance of the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons for a homicide that occurred in a residence located in the 6900 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Police described Sproling as stadning 5'2" and weighing around 140 pounds. The photo of Sproling is from February 2017, but police said they believe he has since restyled or cut his hair since the Oct. 6 incident.
