REYNOLDS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A second victim has died following a triple shooting in Reynolds County Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, three people were shot in the head while inside a home along Missouri Highway 106 west of Ellington around 4 p.m. on Oct. 18.

All three victims were airlifted to hospitals, where one woman, 72-year-old Janet Nance was pronounced dead. Her husband, James Nance, 86, died of his injuries on Saturday, Oct. 21. The third victim, described only as a 73-year-old woman, is still recovering from her injuries.

Authorities described the suspects as two white males driving a dark blue sedan, with a spoiler. Police said the car could be a Saturn. Police said one person was detained in connection with the shooting but was later released.

According to KFVS, a woman who was injured in the shooting talked with investigators about the shooting. Police showed her photos of the two escaped inmates from Pemiscot County Jail and she told them she did not recognize them.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Missouri Highway Patrol or the Reynolds Co. Sheriff’s Department.
