PEVELY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A Pevely family confirmed to News 4 a stolen truck that belonged to the family was located Wednesday afternoon.

The family has not released further details at this time but say it was found in the 3800 block of Ohio.

The truck is a family treasure that belonged to Cole Welker's late father.

“That was the truck my dad taught me to drive,” said Cole Welker.

Welker never expected to lose his dad this year to a sudden heart attack. Then he never imagined that cherished memory would be stolen.

Welker said he got in an accident and the truck needed some repairs. He spent several months working to raise the money to fix it.

He dropped off the truck at CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts in Arnold to do body work, but when it needed more looked at it was taken to Ziegler Automotive in Imperial for an estimate.

It was stolen while parked at Ziegler Automotive. Welker said the truck was at the shop on Friday, October 13 at 7 p.m., but by Monday it was gone.

The family said both companies have donated money for the reward to get it back.
