CLAYTON (KMOV.com) -

St. Louis County leaders in Clayton are trying to be open and honest about how they are spending Proposition P money.

County Executive Steve Stenger signed an accountability measure today, offering transparency to show how the $80 million generated from Prop P will be spent.

Stenger said the measure follows voters voicing concerns about the money being spent.

Stenger and the County Police union have proposed a plan to use about $19 million for officer pay raises. The issue will be discussed at a council meeting Tuesday night.
