Suspect arrested in connection with 2 weekend shootings, sexual assault

ST.LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police have arrested a person of interest in connection with two separate weekend shootings in St. Louis.

Authorities say Randy Dill, 38, is charged with attempted robbery, armed criminal action, and attempted escape from custody and property damage.

Police say Dill robbed a man while he was standing at a bus stop at E. Taylor and Broadway around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

According to authorities, the 60-year-old victim refused and tried to get onto a bus when Dill shot the man in the leg.

Less than thirty minutes later, police also say Dill was involved in an attempted robbery in the 4300 block of Rosalie.

Police say a man approached a woman, pulled out a gun, and demanded the victim’s property. The woman was able to hold on to her property, including a cell phone and backpack.

Dill then shot the victim in the leg and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene, according to police.

The victim sustained an injury to her head and a gunshot wound to the thigh. She was transported to a locate hospital in stable condition.

Dill is also charged in connection with the attempted robbery at Love’s Travel Stop located at 6124 N. Broadway.
