ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A 23-year-old man died as a result of his injuries after being shot in north St. Louis County on Oct. 6.

Khallid Chapman, of the 2600 block of Netherton Drive, was found with a gunshot wound in a crashed vehicle in the 10200 block of Earl around 9:30 a.m.

When police arrived on the scene, they removed Chapman from the vehicle and took him to the hospital in critical condition. Wednesday morning, police said Chapman had died of his injuries.

Police believe there was a disturbance between two vehicles, which lead to the shooting but police are not calling it road rage. After shots were fired, the victim's car went off the road and hit a tree.

If you have any information on the shooting, call St. Louis County Police at 636-529-8210 or CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-8477.
