NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A north St. Louis man is facing charges after he shot and killed an unintended target, police say.

Devonte Little, 24, is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, and assault.

Police say he was involved in the fatal shooting of Kenisha Davis, 19, in February. She was inside a car in the 4100 block of Labadie when a Dodge Charger pulled up and someone inside the Charger fired shots.

A search conducted by officers found a gun that was used in the shooting and keys to the car used by the suspects in the shooting.

Police say cell phone data also puts Little in the area of where the shooting occurred.

Authorities say witnesses told them that Little and others wanted to kill someone else but ended up killing Davis instead.
