ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KMOV.com) – The St. Charles County Police Department has found their missing K9 Unit member.

Tank, a 2-year-old, 70 pound Hanoverian Hound, was reported missing after last being seen near West Sunny Hills and Ohmes Road around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21.

Tank has been a member of the St. Charles County Police Department since October 2016. He assists the department in tracking, trailing and narcotic detection. Less than a day after graduating from training school, Tank and his handler, Officer Courtney Spiess, rescued a child with autism.

Just after 7 a.m., Tank was found and reunited with Officer Spiess.
