HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - More than 200 bikers hit the pavement on Sunday to fight heroin and opioid addiction.

The group says it’s going to take the community to fight this problem.

And that’s why they are raising money to help get people into treatment when they need it.

“Each person costs us about $400 to get into the program and these are people who don’t have insurance ... this gets them in right away when they need it,” said Cyndi Threadgill, president of Recovery from Addiction with Hope.

The ride benefits The Missouri Network for Opiate Reform and Recovery and Recovery from Addiction with Hope.
