ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police say two male suspects robbed a man in downtown St. Louis Thursday morning.

A 63-year-old man was getting out of his car near the intersection of 9th and Locust just after 11:00 a.m. when he felt someone reach into his pants pockets.

When the victim turned around, police said he saw a suspect and tried to push him away.

Police said a second suspect approached the victim and a struggle involving all three ensured before the suspects sprayed mace at the victim. One of the suspects then grabbed the victim’s iPad.

The suspects then got into a dark gray car and started to drive away when the victim opened one of the car doors, pulled a suspect out of the car and grabbed his iPad.

Police said the suspect then got back into the car and both suspects fled.

Paramedics responded to the scene to flush the victim’s eyes.

A child was in the victim’s car, but was not injured.
