Victim identified in fatal quadruple shooting in north St. Louis

Police are investigating after four people were shot in north St. Louis Wednesday night, leaving one dead and three injured.

Twanna Adams, 26 of Normandy, died as a result of the shooting. A 19-year-old victim is in stable condition, while a third victim, 20, has been treated and released.

A 39-year-old suspect was also injured during the shooting and has been treated and released. A 20-year-old and 25-year-old are also suspects in the case.

Authorities said the shooting occurred in the 5800 block of Wabada Avenue around 7:25 pm.

Upon officer's arrival, three victims of the shooting were located and conveyed to hospitals. 

According to police, Adams and two other victims drove to a residence on Wabada to purchase drugs. Shots were exchanged between those in the vehicle and people on the front porch upon arrival. 

After the fire exchange, the driver of the vehicle, Adams, drove to the hospital where she later died. All suspects were taken into custody by police inside the vehicle and at the residence.

Weapons were recovered from both parties, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
