An Illinois bank announced they will no longer offering Solar Eclipse Glasses promotion on Facebook and are recalling the glasses available to the public.
On their Facebook page, the Bank of Edwardsville said the glasses were not up to standard and recommended those with the glasses do not use them.
"The certificate we were given from our vendor stated that the ISO rating on (the glasses) are 12312-1, and not 12312-2, which we know is the NASA standard," the bank said on their Facebook page.
The bank said due to nationwide concern and safety, they cannot support the use of their glasses.
"We sincerely apologize for any confusion up to and during the distribution of the solar eclipse glasses," the bank said.
