(KMOV.com) - It's a crime trend hitting St. Louis and St. Charles County businesses. Three different motorsports stores were hit by thieves in the last week.

Surveillance shows two suspects sneaking into Mungenast Motorsports on Lindbergh Boulevard in St. Louis last Sunday.

St. Louis County Police says the thieves made off with both 2016 and 2017 model Husqvarna dirt bikes.

Just two days later, another break-in occurred. Thieves stole two customer-owned dirt bikes at Surdyke Motorsports in Chesterfield.

"That's the worst thing about it when you have to call the customer and give them the news," said Brad Holzhauer.

Holzhauer owns Big St. Charles Motorsports, he told News 4 his business was also hit by thieves Sunday.

"By the photos and the videos that I've seen it looks like it could be the same two guys that are breaking in," said Holzhauer.

Holzhauer said a white older-model Chevy pick-up truck similar to the one seen on Surdyke Motorsports surveillance footage was used to steal a trailer and two of his customers' sport ATVs worth around $5,000 each.

"They are not going to stop so somebody needs to catch them," said Holzhauer.

As a result of Sunday's break-in and theft, Big St. Charles is taking new security measures in order to ensure that it doesn't happen again.

The business is putting a Doberman and a Pitbull behind their fenced in area.

Besides the dogs, they're also installing a more advanced security system.

"It'll be Fort Knox by the end of the week," said Holzhauer.

With surveillance footage from all three recent break-ins being shared on social media, the businesses are hopeful someone will know who these suspects are.
