The St. Charles Parks Ranger Division and the St. Charles Police Department are investigating after a man is accused to trying to lure a child into his vehicle, police say.
Police said a 12-year-old child was playing basketball on Friday around 8:40 pm when the child was approached by a man.
According to authorities the suspect pulled out a $100 bill and attempted to lure the child into his car. The victim refused and immediately left the scene and reported the incident.
The suspect is described as a white man around 5’10 to 6 feet tall with blonde shaggy hair. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt with a black logo and tan cargo shorts.
The man was last seen driving an olive green two-door vehicle, possibly an older model.
