ST. LOUIS (News Release) -- The local chapter of the American Red Cross provides help and hope to our neighbors impacted by disasters. The biggest disaster threat in the United States isn't floods or tornadoes—it's home fires. Locally, they respond to an average of three fires a day. Red Cross staff and trained volunteers provide food, clothing, shelter, health services and comfort.
In August, the Red Cross teams up with KMOV, MasterCard, and the Missouri Restaurant Association to bring you Dine Out for Disaster Relief. Participating restaurants have offered to donate a percentage of their proceeds for the day. All funds raised will benefit local disaster relief operations. Use your MasterCard that day at any participating restaurant to boost the MasterCard donation. Please join the Red Cross in celebrating their centennial by participating in Dine Out for Disaster Relief—August 23, 2017.
