The St. Louis County branch of the NAACP said Monday it now supports the travel advisory issued by the national organization for Missouri.
The national NAACP issued a travel advisory for Missouri urging minorities to use caution when traveling to the state. The advisory was issued because a new law was passed in Jefferson City that makes it harder to claim workplace discrimination in lawsuits.
The St. Louis County branch initially said it asked the national organization to rescind the advisory or expand it to 38 other states with similar laws.
