Former U.S. Attorney Stephen Wigginton has plead guilty to a DUI charge after a crash in Troy, Ill.

A dashcam captured what happened when Wigginton was pulled over in May.

Pictures of his black Cadillac showed signs of his off-road experience after he swerved off of Interstate 70, taking out more than 40 feet of wire fence and poles.

As part of Wigginton’s plea, charges of leaving the scene of the crash, failure to reduce speed and a headlight violation were dismissed.

He will be on court supervision for a year and will also have to attend a talk designed to help drunk driving offenders.
