The Cardinals announced Friday evening that Hall of Famer Lou Brock is cancer free.
The team announced in April that Brock had been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and was undergoing treatment.
In November 2015, he had his left leg amputated below the knee due to a diabetes-related infection.
Brock is second all-time in stolen bases with 938 and held the record until 1991 when it was broken by Ricky Henderson.
Brock recorded 3,023 hits during his career, 2,713 of which came with the Cardinals.
