ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – An inmate is facing an assault charge after 27-year-old Harold Mosley Jr. was attacked inside his cell at the St. Louis City Jail.

Anthony Bell, 26, was charged with assault first after Mosley Jr. was taken to the hospital with severe swelling and lacerations to his head and face.

The victim’s family contacted News 4 earlier in the week stating that Mosley Jr. was beaten while inside the jail Saturday. After being assaulted, Mosley Jr.’s cell mate found him unresponsive.
