HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Amazon has signed a lease for two warehouse buildings in the Hazelwood Logistics Center, which is the first locations for doing business in the state of Missouri.

“I’m proud to welcome Amazon to our state, their new sortation center and delivery station will create jobs for hard-working Missourians,” said Governor Eric Greitens.

The first location will be used as a sortation center while the second will be used as a delivery station.

Amazon will be hiring nine full-time employees to operate the sortation center and 25 full-time employees to work in the delivery station. The company also plans to hire 350 part-time employees for both locations.

"The City of Hazelwood welcomes Amazon and believe it's community is the best location for doing business in the state of Missouri,” said Hazelwood City Manager Matthew Zimmerman.
