EAST ALTON, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

Police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found in East Alton Friday afternoon.

The body of Michael Louvier, 49, was discovered around 12:30 p.m., police say.

The Major Case Squad was called in to investigate.

The Major Case Squad is now asking for the public's assistance in locating a Burgundy Hyundai Santa Fe and it's owner.

Anyone with information about Louvier, the vehicle or it's owner should call the Major Case Squad at 618-259-2279.
