OVERLAND (KMOV.com) -

Three suspects are accused of stealing a wheelchair ramp from a home in Overland.

Kevin Mesenbrink, 56, Pattie Mesenbrink, 49, and Casey Flinn, 35, are charged with stealing $750 or more. Kevin and Pattie are married to each other.

On June 10, a man was checking on his 88-year-old grandfather’s home in the 2600 block of Sims in Overland, police said. The grandfather had just moved into an extended care facility.

When the grandson arrived, three suspects were allegedly putting the aluminum ramp into the back of the truck. The grandson then called police.

Officers say the three suspects claimed someone gave them permission to take the ramp, but police checked with the victim’s family who said that was not the case.

The three then admitted to taking the ramp so they could sell for scrap metal, police say.

The ramp is valued at $1,500.
