Two Nebraska men are being indicted after authorities say they robbed three different Metro East gas stations at gunpoint.

The investigation, which is ongoing, involves more than six different agencies in Illinois and Missouri, and several others in Nebraska and Indiana.

Allen McCray and Victor Linton are being charged with a 7-count indictment. The counts include Conspiracy to Interfere with Commerce by Robbery, Brandishing a Firearm During a Crime of Violence, and Discharge of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence. The charges stem from three robbery incidents that occurred at a Circle K gas station in Troy, Illinois, a MotoMart in O'Fallon, Illinois, and a Casey's General Store in Maryville, Illinois.

McCray, 19, and Linton, 23, are both from Omaha, Nebraska.

The charges allege both McCray and Linton forcibly took money from the Circkle K in front of employees, all while brandishing a weapon. The firearm was allegedly discharged during the robbery, as well, the charges claim.

The men are facing possible life in prison, but only if they are convicted on Count 5 and Count 7, which charge the men with brandishing and discharging a firearm. Each of those counts carry a fine up to $250,000.

The investigation is ongoing, police said. Several different entities are involved in the investigation, including the FBI, Troy Police, Maryville Police, O'Fallon Police, Effingham Police, Illinois State Police, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and multiple agencies in Illinois, Nebraska, Missouri, and Indiana.
