A pair of Missouri businesses are losing their accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, after the non-profit said the pair failed to maintain the standards that come with accreditation.
The BBB cites the two companies, Greg Hansel Construction and Pennington Roofing, failed to respond to customer complaints. The accreditation was revoked from both companies on June 27.
Greg Hansel Construction failed to respond to four of the six complaints filed against them, the BBB said. Among the claims filed were that the construction company did not refund a customer's money after poor service.
Pennington Roofing had one client file a claim where the customer said the company did not honor a warranty.
The BBB said all accredited businesses are required to respond to customer complaints and make good faith efforts to resolve said complaints. They must also maintain a BBB rating of a B grade or higher.
The BBB also said before accreditation was revoked, they attempted to contact both businesses several times. Neither business replied to the bureau.
