Bystanders injured during rolling gun battle on Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Three people were injured when shots were fired on the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge overnight.

According to police, the victims said they were driving on Interstate 70 near Tucker when they saw the occupants of two vehicles exchanging gunshots around 1:20 a.m.

The 48-year-old driver of one vehicle sustained a graze wound to the back. A 30-year-old woman driving a separate vehicle, which hit a guardrail after the shots were fired, sustained a graze wound to the leg. A 25-year-old passenger in one of the vehicles sustained a graze wound to the thumb.

All of the victims were taken to the hospital and listed as stable.

A description of the suspects has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
