Violent weekend in St. Louis area; 4 killed, 5 injured

ST.LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Another violent weekend of gun violence led to four people being killed and five other people being shot in the city of St. Louis.

Police say the violence began Friday night at the Union Station MetroLink stop where one man was shot and killed. Michael Ontiveros, 31, was shot in the head after 9:00 pm near the station.

Another man was also shot in the back.

About 30 minutes later, police responded to a double shooting in south St. Louis near a gas station at Grand and Alberta.

Both victims are listed in critical but stable condition at this time.

A man was killed after he was shot in the head and died just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police said they have no information on a possible suspect or motive in the shooting that occurred at the intersection of St. Louis and Clara Ave.

St. Louis Metropolitan Police were busy early Sunday morning responding to a double shooting in North City that left one Florissant woman dead.

Authorities tell News 4 the shooting happened near Grand and North Broadway just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, where the man and woman were both shot. Donulette Smith later died from her injuries.

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident and currently have no word on a suspect.

A man was killed and a woman was injured during a double shooting Monday morning around 2:10 am.  

The shooting occurred on South Jefferson at Sidney where a man was pronounced dead at the scene after he was shot in the chest.

The woman was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the knee.
