WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A local bishop is looking for answers after a thief stole an important package right off his porch. Neighbors snapped a photo of the porch thief, but so far, police have no leads.

"My neighbors called me over and they said 'were you expecting a package' I said yes, they said 'we just saw someone put a USPS package on the back of a bicycle,'" said Bishop Frank Krebs.

On the back of the man's bike is Krebs' package from his sisters, inside is a handmade gift.

"They were all taking a trip together and they saw this really cool material that was made by Guatemalan women," Kreb said. "They wanted to make a stole for me that's the thing that priests wear around their neck and it drapes down."

The stole is made from a beautiful material.

"I bet you never thought you would take a package and find a stole, maybe you thought it would be something you thought was valuable and you would be able to get some money from. It is valuable, but it is valuable in a different way," he said.

Krebs posted the photos on social media and called police. On Friday, police made an arrest in the Central West End for a man accused of stealing packages off porches of people's homes near McPhearson and Westminster Place.

Police are working to figure out if the two crimes are connected.

"I would never have to know who took it. I just want it back. I promise to pray for that person every time I wear that stole," Krebs said.

Krebs said the stole can be returned to any house of worship, no questions asked.
