A boil order has been issued for the city of Highland, Illinois, following a water main break.
The Highland Police Department made the announcement on their Facebook page Wednesday night.
The boil order was announced following a water main break on State Route 143. The break also closed the roadway between Koepfli Lane, and Suppiger Lane. Troxler Avenue was also closed.
Route 143 has since reopened.
Due to the break, some in the area would experience no or low water pressure, police said.
At this time, authorities do not have a deadline of when the roadways will reopen or when the break will be fixed.
