LEBANON, IL (KMOV.com) -

Lebanon teen Elizabeth Cook organized a yard sale to raise money for her sister Katherine on Saturday.

Eleven-year-old Katherine has been battling an aggressive brain tumor and after two years of treatment, doctors told her family there is nothing more they can do for her.

So, Elizabeth hopes to raise enough money at the yard sale to cover Katherine’s funeral costs.

“We’ve just had people from everywhere coming and donating stuff,” Elizabeth said.

“I just want her to have a beautiful funeral and a beautiful burial, so that she can be laid in peace” said Victoria Cook, Katherine’s mother.

Even Cardinal’s pitcher Trevor Rosenthal paid Katherine a visit. After he found out how big of a fan she is, he dropped off a signed redbirds jersey for her.

A GoFundMe page has also been created to help with funeral expenses.
