ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Local governments and non-profits in disaster-declared counties in Missouri now have until July 14 to file for assistance requests.

The State Emergency Management Agency of Missouri (SEMA) requested the extension of the deadline. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) granted the request, and the deadline was extended for 13 more days.

Entities who can file requests include local governments, schools, road districts, and non-profit agencies. SEMA said through Wednesday, more than 190 entities in flood-affected disaster areas have filed their requests.

SEMA clarified the requests for assistance must be filed through them, and once approved, they will send the filing to FEMA. This process must be completed by the July 14 deadline.

Entities who can file requests include local governments, schools, road districts, and non-profit agencies.

For more information on the requests and how to file them, head to the SEMA website
