MADISON, Ill. (KMOV.com) – The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has identified the man shot and killed in Madison, Illinois Tuesday
Police said 28-year-old man Darren Martez Henderson was last seen alive in the area of the 4700 block of Margaretta in St. Louis City prior to the discovery of his body in Madison, Ill.
Workers in the area found Henderson lying in an open field with multiple gunshot wounds near the intersection of West Second and Jefferson Tuesday morning.
Police said Henderson was reportedly homeless.
The Major Case Squad is asking anyone who saw Henderson on Tuesday in St. Louis City to contact them at 618-709-7753 or Crimestoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
Crimestoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
