Teens shot while walking in north St. Louis; 16-year-old killed, 3 others injured

NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A 16-year-old was killed and three other teenagers were injured during a shooting Sunday evening in North City.

The teens were reportedly walking in the in the 5000 block of Thekla Avenue when the suspect exited a vehicle and fired shots towards them around 4:10 p.m.

Following the shooting, Antonio Straughter, of Florissant, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 14-year-old male was taken to the hospital in critical, stable condition, a 16-year-old was taken to the hospital to be treated and released, and the fourth victim refused treatment for a graze wound to the back.

A fifth teenager was found uninjured following the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
