ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – The Ancient Order of Hibernians Parade is expected to bring big crowds to Dogtown Friday.

The parade, which has been sponsored by the order since 1984, will begin on Tamm and Oakland Avenues at 12:30 p.m. and will travel south to end on Tamm and Manchester Avenue. It will feature Irish dancing, floats, music and a lot of green.

Anyone who normally travels through the area should be advised that parade organizers said the event will likely affect local traffic beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Coolers, backpacks and glass containers are banned from the parade area.
