PERRYVILLE, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Students plan months ahead of time for spring break ever year, but a group of middle school students used their vacation to help tornado victims.

About 25 Rockwood South middle school students and staff members traveled to Perryville on Thursday, to help the many people who lost their homes in the E-F4 tornado.

The students teamed up with American Red Cross to help clear the damage left by a tornado that had wind speeds reach up to 200 miles per hour.
