GLEN CARBON, Ill. (KMOV.com) – Glen Carbon police have identified a body that was found in Silver Lake Thursday as a woman they were asking for help locating earlier in the day.

Cristy L. Campbell, 32, was reported missing Thursday morning. Police said she was considered a “person of interest” and is “possibly endangered.”

Campbell’s SUV was found submerged in the lake early Thursday morning with an infant inside. A Highland paramedic rescued the baby and performed CPR, but said no one else was inside the vehicle. The baby is expected to be okay.

Campbell’s body was found around 11:30 a.m. by crews searching the lake.

Less than 30 minutes before the SUV went into the lake, Campbell’s home caught fire. Officials said one person inside the home was pronounced dead, but they have not identified the person.
