Surveillance photos, video released of 'persons of interest' in Denny's shooting

On Dec. 15, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges against Monika Williams, 25, for two counts of robbery, two counts of assault, two counts of armed criminal action, and one count of fraudulent use of a credit or debit service.

Police said on the morning of Nov. 11, at a Walgreens located at 13997 Manchester Rd. a victim was robbed at gunpoint for her purse after she left the store.

Walgreen’s video surveillance captured the robbery, and a black Pontiac at the scene of the crime.

Within that same hour, another victim was shot and robbed after leaving the Denny’s in Fenton, Mo. Authorities said the woman’s wallet was taken and her credit card was used minutes later at a Shell gas station on Manchester Rd to purchase a gift card.

When Williams left the gas station, her black Pontiac was captured leaving the scene.

Williams admitted to police that she did rob the victim at Walgreens and later used the stolen credit card. She also said she was the suspect that shot a woman at Denny’s.

Detectives believe Vastine and Williams targeted other people in the Fenton and West St. Louis County area on or around Nov. 11. If you were contacted or targeted by these suspects, police are urging you to contact them at 314-615-8694.

Vastine and Williams are currently being held on a $250,000 cash only bond.
