CARLYLE LAKE -

How awesome does free camping sound?

To encourage blood donations, The American Red Cross is hosting a special blood drive and will reward blood donors with a free camping experience at Carlyle Lake.

The American Red Cross is partnering with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the blood drive on Tuesday, March 28 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Carlyle Lake Visitor Center.

Participating donors will receive a certificate for one free night of camping at Carlyle Lake.

In the United States a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds. The blood drive will make sure the Red Cross is able to keep an adequate supply of blood available for blood transfusions.

Potential donors can schedule an appointment ahead of time by clicking here and entering the sponsor code: CarlyleLake.
