A career fair was recently held at a St. Louis area high school for teens with learning disabilities.

Freshman at Miriam Academy took part in the school’s first annual career day. Students got a firsthand look at careers in animal care, health and human services and more.

Teachers say the school’s primary goal is to prepare students for college or a career regardless of the student’s disability.

The high school, located in Town and Country, and was the first St. Louis area high school for teens with learning disabilities.
