Caught on camera: Suspects force man into dumpster to steal his car

SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

Police are searching for two men who robbed a man and stole his car in the Benton Park neighborhood on February 13.

The victim was getting something out of his car in the 2700 block of McNair when two suspects approached him from behind. Police say one suspect pulled out a gun, while the other suspect searched his pockets and demanded his keys. The victim complied and handed over his phone, keys and wallet.

The suspects then demanded the victim get into a nearby dumpster, police say. The victim went into dumpster, and while he was inside, the suspects got into his car and drove away.

The car was later found abandoned in the 6100 block of Alaska two days later.
