PACIFIC (KMOV.com) -

Pacific police are trying to determine who's responsible for vandalizing four cars in the parking lot at the Westmoor Apartments in the 500 block of Thornton. The damage was discovered Sunday morning around 5:00 a.m.

Alyssa Cowin told News 4 her Dodge Neon was set on fire,

"The front is very, very burned up and it got hot enough that it busted the windshield, and the back bumper is completely melted to the ground and the back bumper looks like it was pried open."

Daniel Stolzman said his front windshield was damaged and his back windshield was shattered.

"Apparently they threw a bowling ball at my front windshield and they couldn't break through it, so they went to the back and that's why the bowling ball was sitting there," said Stolzman.

Pacific Police Chief Matt Mansell said investigators are checking surveillance video at nearby businesses.

Cowin said she bought her car two days before the vandals struck and hadn't yet insured it. She said she's a full time student at East Central College in Union and will have to get rides with friends till she can get find a way to get a new car.
