ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – The wife and stepson of a local Ku Klux Klan leader who was found murdered on Feb. 11 pleaded not guilty in their first court hearing

Malissa Ann Ancona and Paul Edward Jinkerson Jr. were each charged with abandonment of a corpse, first-degree murder, armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence after the self-proclaimed Imperial Wizard of the Traditional American Knights’ body was found dumped in the Big River.

According to police, “extensive blood evidence” was found in the master bedroom of the Ancona home following the fatal shooting.

The suspects appeared by video conference and entered not guilty pleas to all four charges in a St. Francois County courtroom Tuesday morning. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 16.
