2 suspects on the loose after robbing Festus convenience store

FESTUS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A Festus convenience store was robbed Sunday morning and now a pair of suspects are on the loose. 

The robbery occurred around 7:16 a.m. in the 900 block of W. Gannon Drive, near Interstate 55 and Veteran's Boulevard. 

Police said a male suspect entered the convenience store wearing a partial mask and possessing an automatic handgun. The suspect then demanded money. 

The suspect left the scene in a getaway vehicle, driven by a second suspect. The description of the second suspect is not known at this point. 

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark green, 4-door vehicle. It has tinted windows and a front bumper that is black in color. 

At this time, it is not known how much money the suspects took from the convenience store.
