ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

Fire crews battled a three-alarm blaze at a St. Charles County country club overnight.

Firefighters were called to the Bogey Hills Country Club after a fire broke out in the back of the building around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to fire officials, 50 firefighters from four different agencies were called in help battle the fire. Volunteers brought water to the fire crews to ensure they were hydrated.

The country club is a family-owned business that has been around since 1962.

“I live right next door so I got the call from my security company saying the fire alarm was going off, which was unusual. As soon as I pulled my car out, I could see the club from my house and I saw that it was on fire,” said Angel Walters Likens, the club’s owner.

There were several weddings planned to take place at the club. The owner said they will do everything they can to accommodate couples.

Firefighters worked overnight to control the fire. They were seen back at the building around noon Friday putting out some hot spots.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this point.

No injuries were reported.

The ATF is investigating.
