JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Missouri Governor Eric Greitens spent about a half hour on Wednesday answering questions from the public on Facebook Live.

"One of the things I told you during the campaign is we're doing things differently," Greitens said as he started the session.

The governor answered questions about combating the heroin epidemic, cutting the budget and defending the right to work law he recently signed.

"Immediately after we signed right to work, the phone on my desk started ringing and I started talking to CEOs around the country," Greitens said.

Over 400 people submitted questions on Greitens' Facebook page, including questions about cuts to education, transportation and funding for Planned Parenthood.

At its height, as many as 1,000 people were logged on watching the Q & A on Facebook Live.
