Emily Pritchard anchors the weekend evening newscasts and you can see her reports during the week on News 4.
Emily is happy to call Missouri home again. She grew up in Waynesville, Missouri, just two hours down Interstate 44 and she is a University of Missouri graduate.
Before joining KMOV, Emily was an anchor and reporter at KXTV in Sacramento, California, and a morning anchor and reporter at WBND in South Bend, Indiana. She started her career at KOMU in Columbia, Missouri.
Emily is a lover of sports. Highlights for her have been covering the 2016 NBA Finals and Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis. She also covered the University of Notre Dame Athletics, reporting on the Fighting Irish Football Team’s 2012 undefeated season, their appearance in the 2013 National Championship Game and the Women's Basketball Team’s four trips to the Final Four from 2011-2014. She is a HUGE St. Louis Cardinals' fan and is always up for a game at Busch Stadium.
Emily loves genealogy and is proud to say she is a 6th generation Missourian. Her Great Great Great Grandfather Lorenzo Pritchard served in the Civil War at Jefferson Barracks.
Her other passions include spending time with her dog, Albert, hiking, watching hours-on-end of reality TV (she knows it’s bad!) and bookmarking elaborate recipes she never tries.
She completed the Chicago and Philadelphia Marathons and is starting to have the itch to train for a third.
Emily truly believes great things happen everywhere and we all want to see good things on the news, so tell her about it. You can email her at Emily.Pritchard@kmov.com.
