HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A woman allegedly involved in a crash that left a Hazelwood police officer paralyzed has been issued a ticket, a source told News 4.

The Missouri Highway Patrol issued a ticket to Danielle Banks, 25, of north St. Louis. She was cited for allegedly failing to yield to a vehicle approaching from an opposite direction.

The accident occurred August 25 when Officer Craig Tudor was on his way to helping another officer at a call. Banks was trying to turn onto Dunn Road near I-270 when she allegedly hit Tudor’s cruiser head-on. The cruiser then went off the road, hit and embankment and flipped over.

Tudor was paralyzed from the chest down as a result.

He spent several months at a rehabilitation center in Colorado but later returned home.
