Man, 35, killed in single-vehicle crash on I-55 near Herculaneum

HERCULANEUM (KMOV.com) -

Authorities have identified the man who was killed during a crash on Interstate 55 near Herculaneum Monday night.

The single-car crash happened near the McNutt exit just before 9 p.m.

Kevin Riley, 35, was driving the car when it slid off the right side of the road and overturned, according to the accident report. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene.

A 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

The roadway reopened around 12:30 a.m.

    Missouri Republican Gov. Eric Greitens made his first public appearance in nearly two weeks since acknowledging an extramarital affair, announcing a budget plan that would slice at least $68 million from public colleges and universities, but the budget wasn't the only thing discussed.
